As the successor to history's first tactile multifunction watch, the T-Touch Connect Solar embodies Tissot's philosophy: Innovators by Tradition. The T-Touch Connect Solar has all the basic functions such as perpetual calendar, countdown, alarms, weather report and altimeter. The 48 millimeter Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar is light, hypoallergenic and robust thanks to a titanium case with a ceramic bezel. It is operated via the tactile, scratch-resistant sapphire glass, an electronic crown and 2 pushers. The connection to the smartphone is via Bluetooth and with the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar App, which is available parallel to the launch in the App Store and via Google Play. This connectivity allows incoming calls and any desired notifications to be displayed on the energy-saving memory-in-pixel display. Regular updates offer space for successive extensions of the range of functions. Very consciously designed as a hybrid, Tissot's innovation retains most of its functionality even when it is not connected to a smartphone. These include: activity tracker (pedometer, distance covered, calorie consumption), compass, barometer, temperature display, altimeter, second time zone, perpetual calendar and various stop and alarm functions. Fed by sunlight, the runtime of the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar is virtually unlimited in offline mode. In connected mode, it achieves at least 6 months of autonomy, depending on the usage behavior of the wearer and solar radiation. It relies on state-of-the-art solar cells to freely and permanently recharge its battery.
Thanks to the solar cells integrated in the dial, which are largely independent of stationary charging, this Swiss Made watch is also characterized by the ''Sw-ALPS'' operating system, which was also specially developed in Switzerland, and by its compatibility with iOS, Android and from the end of December 2020 also with Harmony OS from Huawei. A total of 35 patents were filed as part of the conception of this watch. This version of the Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar features an anti-magnetic titanium case in silver and a black ceramic bezel with luminescent compass rose markers. The black dial features indices and the beige strap has a standard clasp.
