 Eine Tonfolge für den Viertelstundenschlag, die der Melodie des Schlagwerks der berühmten Turmuhr des Londoner Westminster Palace entspricht. Dort erklingt die Melodie viertelstündlich und wird jede viertel Stunde um ein Viertel Ihrer gesamten Melodie länger.
Der Westminster-Schlag wird auch "Big Ben" genannt. Der Name Big Ben (engl. Kurzform für ‚großer Benjamin‘) bezeichnet die mit 13,5 t Gewicht schwerste der fünf Glocken des berühmten Uhrturms am Palace of Westminster in London und nicht, wie gemeinhin angenommen, den Uhrturm selber.

 Die Uhr zeigt einmal den Umlauf der Erde um die Sonne innerhalb eines Jahres, wobei sich die Erde alle 24 Stunden einmal um sich selbst dreht. Gleichzeitig umkreist der Mond alle 29 1/2 Tage einmal die Erde und dreht sich dabei einmal um die eigene Achse, so dass von der Erde aus die einzelnen Mondphasen zu erkennen sind. 
Die Erde durchläuft dabei die 12 Tierkreiszeichen, die Monate und Tage, die auf einem flachen Zifferblatt abgelesen werden können. 8-Tage 4/4 Westminster-Schlagwerk auf vier polierten Glocken. Sekunde im Kraftfluss, Federzug, 11-steiniges Echappement, polierte Platinen, automatische Nachtabschaltung des Schlagwerks. Gefräste Darstellungen der 12 Tierkreiszeichen auf durchbrochener, polierter Rosettenronde. Gefräste Kalenderdarstellung von Monat und Tag. Tellurium-Dreharm mit Zeiger und Darstellung von Sonne, Mond und Erde.

The moon, in turn, revolves around the earth in 29.5 days completing a full rotation around its axis. This allows the reproduction of the different moon phases as they are visible from earth. 
In the course of one year, the earth passes all 12 zodiac signs, months and individual days which are indicated on the flat disc. 8-day spring wound movement with 4/4 Westminster chime on 4 polished bells. Separate second feature, 11 jewel deadbeat escapement. Polished brass disc has milled zodiac signs and rosettes in addition to the months and days of the year. The Tellurium has reproductions of the sun, earth and moon, incorporating the day/month indicator. Automatic night shut-off.

This clock is really beautiful !
It was shipped in a highly protective packaging, ensuring delivery in perfect condition.
Final assembly and initial setting of the clock are well described in the documentation and were found easy to perform.
The movement of earth and moon are nice features to observe.
The possibility of silencing the bell is seen as a real plus by some family members...
