Eine Voraussetzung zum Beispiel ist, dass die Uhr exklusiv nur im Schwarzwald hergestellt wurde. Aber der Herkunftsnachweis allein genügt nicht, um das Zertifikat zu erlangen. Die Uhr muss auch noch ausschließlich mechanisch arbeiten und auch die Einzelteile müssen im Schwarzwald hergestellt worden sein. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit das begehrte Zertifikat für eine Quarzuhr, oder eine solarbetriebene Uhr, zu erhalten. ''Unsere Kunden wollen eine mechanische Uhr.
