Its wide, horizontal lugs, typical of the era, were perfectly integrated into the flat, tonneau-shaped case. A few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. 'PR' stands for 'precise' and 'robust.' The 'X' represents the Roman numeral ten and the pressure of 10 bar, which corresponds to a depth of 100 meters, to which the watch remains water-resistant. In 2021, Tissot presented the new PRX as a modern interpretation of its predecessor. The 316L stainless steel case of the Tissot PRX has a diameter of 40 mm. It features a slight tonneau shape and is adorned with a slim, rounded bezel. Vertically brushed, rounded finishes alternate with polished facets on the sides. The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 features a waffle-pattern dial with nickel-plated indices and hands. The lines of the case extend directly into the bracelet, without the use of traditional lugs. The bracelet's most striking feature is its series of large links that span its entire width. Its flexibility and suppleness make it a true success of ergonomic design and provide an exceptional wearing comfort. The satin-finish on the outer surfaces is just as meticulously executed as the polishing on the inner surfaces. The hands of the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 are coated with SuperLumiNova® and are set one above the other with very little gap. This allows the dial to be brought closer to the watch crystal. The optical effect achieved by Tissot designers makes the watch case appear even flatter and slimmer than it actually is. The watch features a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a mineral glass display case back. Its Swiss-made automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 80 hours is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring, known for its outstanding resistance to magnetic fields. This version of the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 features a 40-millimeter 316L stainless steel case with a rose gold PVD coating. It forms a perfect contrast to the dark blue dial with indices and a date display. The sturdy yet flexible 316L stainless steel bracelet – also with a rose gold PVD coating – features a quick-change system and a butterfly clasp with push-pieces.
