Gleichzeitig umkreist der Mond alle 29 1/2 Tage einmal die Erde und dreht sich dabei einmal um die eigene Achse, so dass von der Erde aus die einzelnen Mondphasen zu erkennen sind. Die Erde durchläuft dabei die 12 Tierkreiszeichen, die Monate und Tage, die auf einem flachen Zifferblatt abgelesen werden können. 8-Tage 4/4 Westminster-Schlagwerk auf vier polierten Glocken. Sekunde im Kraftfluss, Federzug, 11-steiniges Echappement, polierte Platinen, automatische Nachtabschaltung des Schlagwerks. Gefräste Darstellungen der 12 Tierkreiszeichen auf durchbrochener, polierter Rosettenronde. Gefräste Kalenderdarstellung von Monat und Tag.
