 Eine Quarzuhr ist eine Uhr, deren Taktgeber kein mechanisches Pendel, sondern ein elektronischer Quarzoszillator ist, dessen Frequenz mit Hilfe eines Schwingquarzes besonders genau eingehalten wird. Die Stromversorgung erfolgt mittels eine Batterie (Lebensdauer ca. 1 Jahr)

When i received the clock the clock mechanism was loose, we put the clock up and it stopped working a few hours later, when I tried to move the dial on the clock it fell off, my husband has since glued the mechanism back on as we could see where it had been previously glued, it now works, I am also surprised that there is no guarantee with the clock
